What do F1, F1b, F2b and Multi-Gen mean?
An F1 Goldendoodle is a first generation cross between a Poodle and a Golden Retriever. This cross produces a 50/50 mix of Retriever and Poodle characteristics and does not have a coat that can be guaranteed to be non-shedding or hypoallergenic. These crosses are beautiful but are not good for people with allergies or sensitivities.
An F1b is a cross between a Poodle and a Goldendoodle so that the mix is closer to 75% Poodle and 25% Retriever. These mixes have stronger Poodle characteristics, are hypoallergenic and non-shedding. They have a wonderful combination of Poodle intelligence and loyalty and Retriever affability, friendliness, and affection.
F2bs and Multi-Gens are crosses between two F1b Goldendoodles. At this level of breeding investment, new bloodlines have begun to be created, and characteristics are very reliable. At Green River, both Gracie and Birdie produce Multi-Gen puppies. They are, like the F1bs, hypoallergenic, non-shedding, and have the lovely combination of Poodle intelligence and loyalty and Retriever affability, friendliness, and affection.
Are Green River Goldendoodle puppies vaccinated when I buy them?
No, we no longer start the vaccine series before the puppies go home. There are many different types of vaccines, so you can discuss options and make your choices with your vet. Vaccines are also administered in a time sensitive series, so you can start a timeline that makes sense for your family. We opt for minimal vaccines with our own breeding dogs. Our animals have limited exposure to illnesses, and we believe in the powers of love, a healthy, stress-free lifestyle, fresh air, sunshine, organic, grain free and raw food, and high-grade supplementation.
Does Green River have repeat customers and referrals?
